If McInnes does get offered and accept the Scotland job (the only realistic scenario to consider a new manager currently) then we badly need a new manager that is going to re-energise the fans as there is a real apathy at the moment (so not a Wright/Archibald/McIntyre type appointment) and we also badly need a manager that in the huge majority of games we play in need to focus on our strengths and play with real attacking intent without worrying overly about the opposition. I have to say that despite his obvious baggage Neil Lennon fits both those attributes. It is easy to say that he has a losing record against McInnes but with a lower budget at Hibs we should be expected to have a winning record against them. That's like saying we wouldn't want Steve Clarke as McInnes has a winning record against him as well. Lennon was also able to sign players from further afield than Englandshire with some success, which has been badly missing in our recruitment
