McInnes failed time & time again against Graeme Murty.

I wonder if he’ll use his own shyte logic in this scenario?

Soul searching doesn't count though. Plus he doesn't look back, always to the future...when it suits.

If McInnes does get offered and accept the Scotland job (the only realistic scenario to consider a new manager currently) then we badly need a new manager that is going to re-energise the fans as there is a real apathy at the moment (so not a Wright/Archibald/McIntyre type appointment) and we also badly need a manager that in the huge majority of games we play in need to focus on our strengths and play with real attacking intent without worrying overly about the opposition. I have to say that despite his obvious baggage Neil Lennon fits both those attributes. It is easy to say that he has a losing record against McInnes but with a lower budget at Hibs we should be expected to have a winning record against them. That's like saying we wouldn't want Steve Clarke as McInnes has a winning record against him as well. Lennon was also able to sign players from further afield than Englandshire with some success, which has been badly missing in our recruitment

That's not my failing, that's yours
And like a politician, your still dodging the question.

Which manager would appease you Mason?

Some fair points, but focussing on the bolded bit, why do so many expect we should be competing and beating the cheeks regularly?

I've bolded your bolded bit. It's the bestest word.

I think the main word that people beat McInnes up on is "competing" as when you look at how we approach the celtic games we are just so passive and defensive and don't even give ourselves a chance to beat them, the first 30 minutes of the recent semi being the perfect example as was the League cup final. Lennon didn't always beat celtic with hibs but he at least let them know they had been in a game and gave their fans some excitement in the process

The big plus we had when Mcinnes took over was having Hayes and McGinn on fire. It meant teams had to concentrate on both of them whilst having Rooney tapping goals in. It meant we were exciting due to their skill and pace.
