I’m sure everybody will agree that just bringing Crooks wasn’t enough and we don’t know if that was poor recruiting, poor budget, wages, attractiveness of the club or area, not enough bottle for the fight, the list is endless. The future looks bleak with several players returning to their parent clubs and the strong possibility of the better players leaving. On a positive note Towell has been nowhere near as good as last season and imo Crooks appears to be a better choice. So whatever division we are in next season I will still be a Rotherham supporter.

I think it’s down to being risk averse. Wanting to be safe, checking and double checking so the whole system slows right down and we lose out.

I’m sure PW worries about buying a lemon or a player that upsets his “boys”

He’s already brought a couple of lemons 🍋 in,they will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

On a tight budget and very little room to manoeuvre as far as recruiting goes, one big b.alls up could sink us....Dexter anyone....

I agree with you about Tony Stewart's enthusiasm but a lot of us have no idea what his ambition is. As you've thanked him for it perhaps you could enlighten us?
So starting a thread once in a blue moon means I crave attention ?
Not really ironic that is it ?
Stewart stated from day one he wanted promotions and ultimately the premier league, I would say that was pretty ambitious.
I would say his ambitions now have been tempered by reality somewhat, but no harm in dreaming.
Having a chairman who is a bit naive but positive, is surely a good thing.
    Boothy anyone ?

Why would anyone apologise for another fans opinion?

Imo Warney cost us points earlier on through lack of experience (well probably more like being afraid to go for wins )

Anyone who takes praise but don’t take criticism (whether you agree or not) are in the wrong job.

Tony,I appreciate your enthusiasm and ambition, and I hope you are coping with your recent tragedy, please stick around with us for many years to come.

Paul, anyone with half a brain can see you have done brilliantly this season, and hopefully you can still keep us up,in this your second full season as a manager, but obviously if you need some advice as to how it should be done, just pop back on here and I`m sure you`ll learn where you`re going wrong.

It’s been a heartbreaking season for us all so let’s not get personal

    Silly.

None of the posts on here end up as you put it end up in a paper letter.
It’s called an opinion just like yours.
    Why is he getting personal?

I would say slagging off TS with no hard facts is more personal.

A bit like blaming TS for us not getting promoted to the premier league hey ?

Now what kind of misguided idiot would do that I ask ?

Let’s get real, before a ball was kicked we were bottom 3 material signing another 2 or 3 players wouldn’t have made much of a difference as our budget doesn’t allow for decent players.

Upshot relegation or miracle survival .....deal with it in your own way

even if on the off chance one of them actually looked at this board once a season they wouldnt pay any attention to what is written on here.

doesn't anyone else think with 1 or 2 loan signings "marque" signings for rotherham than we wouldnt be in a better position than we are now.

if you had to have hard facts to post on here than this board wouldn't be very active.
