    Neil Hood . . .

    . . . our striker from the 1971 - 72 season is featured in an article in today's Sunday Post and, if true, the way he left Palmerston involving Willie Harkness is, to say the least, bizarre.

    Neil Hood was an excellent striker for the club that season. I haven't read the article but I do recall that he was poorly treated by Harkness. Can't remember the detail.

    Rather sums up the finances under the Harkness years which put into perspective the efforts of today's BoD in comparison.

    he was a good player hood ,wasn't with us for long though 1 season was it ,if I can remember he had a good career with Hamilton and clyde .
