O/T How do iPro Sport make any money?

They're our official drinks partner and partner with 7 other clubs, and they used to sponsor Derby County's stadium.

Yet they're not sold in any supermarkets or corner shops and I've only seen their drinks on sale once, at a petrol station, and the next time I went there they were no longer on sale.

I bought one that time since they're so rare and it was nothing special and overpriced.

They cast the net Far and wide.

But I thought iPro paid them?

    It's sponsorship isn't it?

I need Kempo to come back and explain how they make a buck.

The teams and athletes they sponsor get it for free.

Then the idea is that members of the public buy it after seeing their team/ sporting hero drinking it.

But you can't buy it anywhere.

Doesn't make any sense to me.

Which is probably why I've never heard of it.

They do a lot through vending in health clubs /gyms, universities and colleges with some retail. A guy I know was a director at Ipro. I dont see how they make enough sales to cover the sponsorship. Derby was £7m over 10 years. Every deal is sponsorship based (eg Loughborough Uni Sport). Someone at the top must have started with a huge wedge of cash.
