PW has had a whinge in the tiser saying we were interested in Doige but couldn't match Bolton,s offer so we missed out.
Bolton had the benefit of his services without paying for him.
The ultimate irony being that Doige scored the late goal at the nys. Two of the thirty six or so shipped from a winning position.

Bolton have faced a winding up petition 6 times in the last 18 months and yet they were allowed to make signings last summer.
Unlikely to happen but statement from the EFL would be appropriate.

We could perhaps have equalled or bettered Bolton's offer to Doidge but we didn't.

I read an article about Christian Doidge a couple of weeks ago. In it he said he was chuffed to bits to have signed for Bolton and had the opportunity to play Championship football. He paid a deposit on a house near Bolton.
On talking to other Bolton players in the dressing room he soon realised he had dropped a clanger.
    Wrong club, wrong time.
