The ultimate irony being that Doige scored the late goal at the nys. Two of the thirty six or so shipped from a winning position.

Bolton have faced a winding up petition 6 times in the last 18 months and yet they were allowed to make signings last summer.
Unlikely to happen but statement from the EFL would be appropriate.

We could perhaps have equalled or bettered Bolton's offer to Doidge but we didn't.

I read an article about Christian Doidge a couple of weeks ago. In it he said he was chuffed to bits to have signed for Bolton and had the opportunity to play Championship football. He paid a deposit on a house near Bolton.
On talking to other Bolton players in the dressing room he soon realised he had dropped a clanger.
    Wrong club, wrong time.

Apparently Leeds are favourites to sign him.

Yes, Leeds made enquiries for him last year. Blackburn and other Championship clubs are looking to sign him. Absolute bargain, 25yrs old on a free transfer. Stand out player for Bolton in previous seasons. Bolton have valued him at £5m in the past.
First of many that could be leaving Bolton.

We took a -12 for our first admin, then -17 for our second and rightly so. Expect Bolton to receive the mandatory - 12 for their admin but, should there also be a further -3 for failing to fulfil their fixtures or, should it be even worse?

When was the last time you heard of a club not fulfilling their league fixtures? I can't ever recall this scenario......

Looks like they have been given another 2 weeks by efl

I wonder if the EFL will take a similar relaxed position with Macclesfield, who appear to be going down the same track as Bolton?

All Bolton need to do now is appoint Alan Stubbs as their next manager and the sky's their limit. If it happens there's a poster off here they can have too if they want him on a free transfer.

Nothing to do with the EFL. The High Court has given the club another 2 weeks.

Difficult to tell what game is being played here. Bassini is still hoping to buy the club. Is he playing the dangerous "brinkmanship" game to its limit - trying to lower the price for a deal in the next two weeks?

Has administration been his aim all along in order to get control with the debts wiped off?

If they go into administration will a Company Voluntary arrangement be achievable? That would require a majority of creditors, by amount of debt, agreeing to accept a deal. If HMRC are owed more than 50% of the debt there will be no agreement, as they will vote against. That would mean liquidation and expulsion from the league.

At the last High Court hearing Bolton didn’t even send a representative.

Yet they got a two week adjournment

    Figure that.
