Genk and Ghent were in the quarter finals of the Europa League a couple of seasons back and played against each other; therefore, Genk did appear in the semis

However, Genk are not a team to have sympathy for, they have plenty of resources and a very good youth academy. I was there earlier this season to watch them against Brondby and they've quite an impressive set-up...

EDIT: It was actually the Round of 32 that Genk played Ghent and Genk were knocked out in the quarters by Celta Vigo in 2016/2017

Some guff football is pish, what I witnessed this week was excellent......go down thru all the levels of guff fitba and you will see exciting climaxes to many club’s seasons in some manner.

Some euro football is pish, again, go down thru the many levels to see a similar trait.

Bless them, I get insulted and the pish ripped out of myself on here on a daily basis by certain posters, their insecurity is quite transparent and tbh I genuinely just chuckle.

I don’t do weekends as everyday is the same to myself as life is too short as most sadly know, admittedly I’m retired from my profession/ile, however I still keep ticking over not having to use the grey matter anymore for glue money and penfolds accordingly, a couple of years till Mrs J downs tools and then it is adios for 9 months each year......if I’m still here.

Some guff,Scottish and Euro fitba is good, most NFL is pish imho.
