I think there's a lot of confusion here regarding expectations and aspirations. My view is that AFC should always aspire to win the league and moreso the cups. I think with the significant budget differentials, I think it is highly unlikely that we can win the league, but I think it is a reasonable aspiration and expectation to win one of the cups.

Or more "realistically" a trophy.
You can harp on about history and how many trophies we average but that has absolutely no relevance on here and now.
Regarding the last sentence, are you being serious or being deliberately obtuse. Football, more than ever, is about money. Other leagues have way, way, more money than the Scottish League. Celtic, and to a lesser extent, Rangers, have way more money than AFC. Yet your expectation is that we win the league next year.
You're probably right about history not being relevant. It was actually easier for AFC to win the league historically than it is now. And yet still we could only do it 4 times in 115 years.
What are you basing your 5 times in 116 years on? What makes you think it is a realistic expectation for AFC to win the league next year?
Aldo, your original message implied an expectation that we should win the league next year. So to repeat the above question, what are you basing this expectation on?
Nothing wrong with having expectations. If things keep going on the way they are, we will never, ever win the league.
I did say "realistically" win a trophy and I'd be happy with that next season.
What's the point of Mcinnes getting all those points, cup finals, European football, if we don't have anything to show for it and don't build on it? Why bother spending £50m on a new stadium?
Everyone has ambitions. It's not impossible to win the league and it's definitely not impossible to win a trophy.
Oi Derek min, theres a new job opening just came on the market in Ayrshire. You should go for it
