There never ever was a plan. It was just make it up as we go and hope someone come along with loads of cash to bail the board out (again).
Reading what Cormack is saying, the sale of Pittodrie doesn't really matter, so if that is the case, why sell it at all? He is stating “I think we have the asset of Pittodrie that we will sell for whatever". So if someone was to come along with £1, they could buy it?

Starting to think Cormack is a younger version of Milne with a tan.
