    Some would say the Euro was brought in to make German exports cheaper and protect their manufacturing industry.

    So, to summarise where we are:

    1. We don't like the terms of EU membership;
    2. We don't like the terms that the EU are willing to agree to allow for an orderly departure from the EU, but don’t like no deal either;
    3. We want to trade with the EU after Brexit, but don't like the terms that are likely to go with a Trade Deal; and
    4. We want to trade with the US after Brexit, but don't like the terms that are likely to go with a Trade Deal.

    Is there anything that we do like?

    Reality sometimes isn't nice and we have to get to the point where we accept that what we want may well conflict with what other countries want and that we won't always get our way, particularly when negotiating with the US and EU, the economies of which will dwarf ours in a post Brexit world.

    Some contrary views expressed recently on here about whether Labour should fall behind Leave or Remain. This research behind this FactCheck article is probably on the Leadership's minds:

    You can’t keep changing the goalposts.

    Parliament should respect the vote of the referendum and either get a deal done or leave.

    No future democratic vote could be considered valid, until that vote is honoured.

    Crow as much as you like but irrespective of how the referendum vote was sold to the public, it needs to be respected.

    Public mood/opinion can swing in the blink of an eye.

    Can we have a public vote on the death penalty next week?

    A direct vote on immigration?

    A public vote on inherited wealth and tax?

    A direct vote on the NHS?

    Prison sentences?

    Speeding?

    Planning?

    So what you are saying is that Labour is thinking of reneging on it's manifesto promise to honour the outcome of the referendum as that represents the best chance of them getting power for themselves?

    I suppose that we shouldn't expect honest and principled behavior.

    1 and 2 are correct. 3 you do not know what you are talking about and the same goes for 4. Dont throw stuff up you have no clue about.

    I guess that they are thinking of options as clearly trying to reach agreement with the government and come to an negotiated agreement that honours the referendum, satisfying enough MPs to actually get through has proved impossible. May tried, Labour tried. All failed. What next? We could keep a principled position of honouring the referendum via a No Deal. But is that democratically what the country want? The majority?

    You're right they could maintain that position but as we are seeing, the majority of Labour members and voters are remain based and are wanting their party to change tack simply to avoid a No Deal. He is quickly losing those voters/members. Corbyn is trying to maintain the principled stance wouldn't you agree but is falling down hugely from MPs to voters.

    What do you think he should do next? (Keep it clean!)
