Sadly few managers start with a blank sheet of paper that's why sackings within 14 weeks of a season is football stupidity and any pro / pro manager will say that.

That's why Chairman should all have a hotline to such as Niel Warnock - Fergie or such as Raffa....Chairman get poor advice if it comes from close to the club or inside the club....independent advice is essential - no axes to grind then.

In that same vein wouldn't it also be stupidity for a manager to walk out on a club after 5-6 weeks? Sometimes, one or both sides of a situation recognise that it's not going to work out no matter how long you give it.
