Ajayi makes plenty of mistakes especially when dealing with straight long balls.
The good thing about him is there’s lots of potential for him to develop into a top player with the right coaching and in a decent side. 750k seems about right to me.

Interesting thoughts on Ajayis valuation here, because I think if he was allowed to go for between 300,000 k what loyal says he'd take and up to 750,000 k what Brin says he'd take that he would be an absolute steal at that price and I would seriously question our valuation team at the club.
Both Vaulks and Ajayi were immense for us last season but if I had to choose between them I'd have Ajayi all day long, seems like I'm in a minority.

I think that he was at times a little bit out of position, he had 1 bad pass a game, a mistake that put us under the cosh once every 5 games and missed an open goal or two.
Tell me a player who did more in a game. One who played in more than one position and was comfortable in either. One that scored as many goals from a defensive position. Tell me the player who was as quick as him.
The only thing missing that will make him a better player would be someone behind him, be it a keeper or a central defender talking him through a game.
We are talking about a player who was voted Player of the month in the Championship last season.Barnsley have just sold a third division player for two million. The true valueation of this player is higher than what we got for Will Vaulks and the club must not listen to any other offers that fall below that mark. The dingles can't afford him, they don't spend big, they collect big.
We have just paid out around 600 k for a striker who has had one decent season in this division we are in now, and yet some here think that Ajayi, our best player last season and a proven championship player IMO, is worth either less than that, or not a lot more than that and I find that astonishing.
I'm the same Ronners. Any midfielder getting the amount of Goals Semi got at that level, at his age has got to be worth 2 Million plus, easily. If he'd had the season he's just had for say a club like Bolton or Ipswich, I use these clubs as they are in the exact same predicament as us, he'd be moving on for 5 + million, easily.
Talk about flogging the family silver off cheaply, f@ck me. No wonder we get called toytown
Ajayi has got a mistake in him but we are in league 1 now so less likely to be punished for his mistakes. I would hang on to him because I think he will be a top player if he can iron out those mistakes.Think he could be very good for us this season especially in midfield. Where you would shoe horn him into midfield this year will be diificult tho because there will be some reight competition..
