Are you Roger during weekdays and Cindy Rose at weekends?
It isnt only Notts County that will be welcoming new owners. United are apparently in the final stages of a takeover though i wouldnt put a pound on it.
Considering how small Cambridge are, the club not the City, no one really cares, not even the fans. If you spoke to a road cleaner in Hong Kong, he will have heard of Cambridge, its an international name.
There are some big companies in Cambridge, Microsoft are there, Astra Zeneca has its base there, plus loads of other international companies building a presence. There are countless bio medical firms, technology of all sorts blah di blah, its been termed silicon fen.
There is a new stadium to be built a stones throw from the current ground.
If you were the boss of a big firm wanting local and international exposure, what better than buying United. We would finally throw off our southern league origins, three quarters of the ground are from that era, and we are falling hopelessly behind everyone else.
Getting a team on the pitch for these blokes wont touch the balance sheet.
This cant make you feel better about your own plight, and i apologise for that.
Cindy Rose Microsoft Managing Director.
p.s.....and a U.
