There isn't any rivalry these days because we very rarely meet on equal terms .

The geographical aspect ticks the box , the early 80's saw the two clubs go nose to nose and a bitter rivalry developed .

There's nothing more I'd like than those days to return .

Those few years were fantastic and i dont believe either club have had better sides since..regardless of whats been achieved since those days ..i felt like a sardine on that open end at barnsley ( of which id been on numerous times before with probably only 5000 in the ground, my teacher played right wing for you, bob earnshaw)and im sure you would have felt like a sardine in the railway end as well ..happy days..

Next thing I will be accused of being antisemitic....lol. I've had all sorts of abuse on this site - but sad little bully boys have never bothered me - they are to be more pitty'd than scorned in my opinion.

The really "frustrated" posters that lash out - so to speak - don't have the communication skills to put over their often debatable views. But their views are to respected - rightly or wrongly.

I don't think - in fact I know I'very never said or incinuated that others are wrong. Perhaps once regarding one specific fact. And in a polite way to an abusive poster.

The site is becoming more polarised like the British media witch-hunts. And certain groups hunt in packs to undermine perfectly logical views of the club.

I'm not going to be drawn into tit for tat insult throwing because only only one group gets away with that. I prefer to take the moral high ground and not indulge your obvious and childish intimidating statements.

Anyway - I bet I'm the only one on this site with a certificate to prove I'm all right now....lol

So that wasn't a typo Cayton....if you read the rules of this forum your inference may mean that is yourself who is close to abusing the rules and being banned although I would never call for such a draconian sanction to be used on a fellow poster. I would only support you and cut you some slack as you are obviously having a bad time of it all.

And may I suggest you don't kidnap the OP onto what can only be described as a non contributory and abusive course.
