[QUOTE=KerrAvon;39263788]How does where a person come from have any bearing upon his or her ability to 'connect' with the 'working classes'? Tony Benn started out as Viscount Stangate.

    No he didn't

What about Johnson's actions says that he can't 'connect'.
He's never experienced poverty or trying to make ends meet. He has never had to graft for his wealth. He has no interest in the working classes. He has been involved in anti union policies. Tony Benn in contrast has fought campaigns for the working classes. He has stood on picket lines. He has spoken at ralleys for working class causes viscount or not. HAve you seen Boris on a picket line or a miners' rally? Come on Kerr I could go and on if you want your argument does not stand up at all. You must do better.

You can't keep on with this "we are all equal and everything is fair in the world" tripe. It just doesn't stack up.

But then again you know this and you are just trying to wind up Rolymiller. More fool me for biting.

Please don't give me a deflective reply because I will ignore it. If you were a cricketer you would score all your runs at fine leg.

Does that make my concern any less transparent?

Perhaps if I'd used the term "sincere"

Can anyone tell me what a No deal actually means because plenty seem keen to go down that route but the NI Police have said that they feel a no deal will help to re-ignite paramilitary groups because a no deal means a hard border is definitely going to happen, Europol would not support the returning of criminals to the UK that are on the run abroad and trade agreements will all be stopped and new ones have to be drawn up which may mean it suffers before it gets better. This could take a generation.

Jacob Rees posh **** said that leaving the EU will make us better off in roughly 30 years but before that there will be hardships. He never said that during the build up to the referendum though. Only afterwards.

But what are the benefits of a no deal? I really want someone to explain this to me because I have not seen one yet.

I do want us to leave the EU by the way. The people that want to scrap Brexit are undemocratic in my opinion. That is despite me voting to stay.

I've also just read that Boris himself thinks the chances of leaving with no deal are a million to one against so I still don't see what is so attractive by it.

You could but if you did that you would be questioning my integrity. Im sure that us exactly what you would like to do - so why not come right out and say it.

Weak way to debate though. You dont like the personal slights Kerr puts in his posts, why do it yourself?

I find it remarkable that so many working class guys from here promote a no deal brexit.
You are the very people who are going to be severely damaged by such an event.
It really is turkeys voting for Christmas.
Travelling around Europe as I do simply to post on here I can tell you that we are a total embarrassment as far as they are concerned.
Brexit will have no effect to people like myself but to working class people it will be very very damaging indeed.
We are about to jump off a cliff because of a vote that had a very significant number of racists, the less intelligent and bigoted old people.
    I am concerned and ashamed.
Johnson has caused a lot of this by manipulating the less intelligent and socially deprived which sadly is something that has happened throughout history mainly by the rich and powerful such as Johnson.
Be afraid very afraid of a no deal brexit.

Plenty of banner headlines but sadly lacking in substance .

Yes that's good advice, however the prospect of no brexit at all eclipses that.

Praise the remoaners for pushing us to the brink.
