I quite like the fact that Trump says it how it is and does not have to try to appeal to the working classes like our MP's do by pretending to be up to date with what is happening in the country they represent. Trump is most definitely down to earth and does not have to pretend about what he knows or even care how he gets it across to others.

I find it very disappointing that an ex labour man like yourself can ar se lick Trump in the way you do big lad. Don't get me wrong I understand your dissatisfaction with Labour but Trump and Farage? Come on its like going from one extreme to the other. I presume you must have liked some Labour party policies once upon a time, Trump and Farage dont offer any of those policies you liked under labour. I'm afraid you come across as being politically very shallow and politically akin to being a good time dee dar fan. Jump on the bandwagon even if you don't know where its going!

Maybe you have gone up in the world since voting Labour. Maybe you now have a bit of dosh to conserve. If you haven't you are making a grave mistake. Still your choice but you will regret it if either of these 2 have a say in how this country is run. I won't thank you and those like you as won't millions of others when it all goes tits up with the likes of these morons calling the tune.

The one big hope for me is that the electorate finally come to their senses and reject the nutters. You will be saved from yourself then.

On the economy Obama took over in deep recession. He turned it round into growth. All the economic indicators show an upward trend through the Obama years that continued after Trump took over. Obama created the conditions that Trump claim as his success.

We are yet to see the effect on the US economy of Trumps protectionist policy. Too early to tell.

Putting all else aside Obama Care is a massive achievement for the people of the US.

I fell out with Labour a long time ago mate and to show my age I was the local party secretary of the SDP for Rotherham when they first came in to being back in the early 80's with the gang of 4 (Bill Rodgers, Roy Jenkins, David Owen and Shirley Williams) a post I held for over 3 years.

From that you can see why I have always had great interest in what happens in the EU as I was and still am in favour of a united Europe and all the benefits it brings. However, the EU has changed dramatically over the last 25 years or so and is now dominated by 2 or 3 countries that only want to look after themselves and **** over everyone else. This EU is miles away from what we envisaged all those years ago.

I am right now so concerned at how the EU is conducting it business that I cannot wait to get out of it and I can see that the world has changed so much that the type of EU I wanted could actually become a reality outside of the EU with the rest of the world as our partners and Farage can make us a better place to live and work. It's that simple really.

I sort of had you down as disillusioned Labour but you have obviously never really supported Labour policies. Like I have said before I do have leave sympathies myself but believe we need to leave on a softer Brexit as a fail safe.

I am more than happy to leave with a deal as long as it is the right deal. A deal that takes us out of free movement of people would be a good start.
