Great point in that the people who don't want to be called or treated differently are the very same folk that organise marches and the like that shout - hey look at us. And that should be ok and is but the more extravagant individuals take centre stage and they are patently very "different".
At one stage in my career I was a Civil Servant and if you were a coloured gay physically challenged individual you were on a rocket to the top. Positive discrimination is as bad if not worse than the run of the mill discrimination. It creates potential failure due to the lack of ability to make a success of the position on offer.
I've always said that I don't care what anyone's personal preferences are as long as they don't try to shove it down your throat.
