Then lift the age limit to get a license. That would seem to be the correct way to do it.

Can’t remember the last time I saw a police traffic car, driven by arsehole or otherwise.

Really? You can't do much driving then, especially on motorways. And given that every section of society has it's arseholes it is reasonable (unless you are one of those people who think that the police can do no wrong) to suppose that police drivers have their share.

I’m sure they have their successes, but what percentage of what’s out there?

Take uninsured drivers for example, estimates put it at 1 in every 40 or so drivers you see on an average trip will be uninsured, yet according to data obtained by the RAC 79,713 uninsured drivers were caught in 2018, compared with 118,698 the previous year a decline of 33%

It is of course the resources argument coupled with a soft court system not imposing touch enough punishments.

So they catch some but miss many.

Grist, on the note of uninsured drivers, I don’t care what the circumstances are just take the car off them and crush it if it’s theirs.

Thing is all the programmes you see on TV where they say the car was crushed is false.

If you want to bid on a seized uninsured car not claimed by the driver in Rotherham or Sheffield then visit the lot opposite the the cash and carry just off the parkway. Chances are though you may get a few pulls in the future from SYP as the car may have a marker on it.

Just seen in the news that there was a serious accident in Stevenage last night, racing on open public roads.

Laughable was the senior copper saying the police knew nothing about it followed by an interview with the organiser who said they have an event every week.

The police are under resourced without a doubt but they spend a disproportionate amount of time and money fast tracking ‘square pegs in round holes” because they tick the right boxes of ***uality, gender or ethnic background.

Ban for lorry drivers on motorways and A roads? Oh, we wouldn't be able to do that would we.

Why not just give people a minimum 5 year sentence for death by dangerous driving?
