    They would still have paid for stewarding and police etc if admission was free, so would definitely have lost money that way. Isn't it the case that catering refreshments etc profits were sold to Delaware some years back on a long term deal?

    I'm not advocating letting fans for free But to charge people £20 for a friendly ,they ended up with a crowd they deserved Even a couple of season ticket holders ,with two under 12 kids would have had to pay £54 We were playing a Spanish second division side not Real Madrid
