Thread: Eton Rules Ok?

Hogwash! The Lib Dems will hoist any flag that gets them into power. Jo Swinson will be flying the SNP plattard next.

Just to stop a sound, patriotic Englishman like your goodself getting too overwrought about it 59, I said that all those that despised their own country were on the Left, I didn't say that all those on the Left despised their own country. There is a difference, I do wish you'd read what I post a tad more carefully, instead of jumping to hasty and incorrect conclusions.

Can't agree with that at all.

Many on the far right despise the way that the UK have become a multi cultural society. Many on the far right despise the way that we have gone soft on criminal justice (the hang 'em, flog 'em types). Many on the far right despise the fact that we have "given up our empire".

    Different argument BT?

But you are obviously wrong. We will never waiver from believing in remain and so there will be no deals considered with Corbyn/Johnson/Farage unless they change their views.

Corbyn has already been re-programmed by McCluskey. He is now a Remainer but I wouldn’t advise doing any deals with him.

I didn't expect you to agree with it, but that's what I said.

Just who are these far right people you keep obsessing about, maybe I've led a sheltered life but I've never met anyone I would describe as such. I did once know a blimpish character when I lived in France, he always wore a blazer and tie, liked a G&T in the afternoon and I suspect he did bemoan the loss of Empire, every one, including his wife, treated him as a bit of a joke, but I never considered him Far Right, just a dick, and that's about it. The BNP is virtually non-existent, Tommy's in jail and his couple of hundred followers distraught, but you seem to see them everywhere. You say 'many on the far right', there aren't many on the far right, there virtually aren't any on the far right at all, yet you see this phantom Far Right Army stomping the streets of our green and pleasant land, and it clearly worries you. I have a cure for you though 59, ease off reading the Guardian and Independent, cut back listening to the BBC and I guarantee within a week or so your worries will begin to dissipate and you'll feel much better.

I'll feel a whole lot better when this new unelected government with a complete new set of Cabinet Ministers get their heads around sorting this out...

Morning Sinkov. As you well know there are always a number of these types. BT will confirm that we meet them while out canvassing.
They are always looking for a political home, but even if they don't find one they are still there.

In the past the National Front inspired them. Then the BNP started making progress (especially in Burnley) then they started supporting Nigel's UKIP. I have no doubt that many have followed Nigel to the Brexit Party.

But yes, I can assure you that these people are real and do exist.

Yes the BNP did make progress in Burnley, there was a specific reason for that, I watched it unfold over several years with a sort of ringside view, and the reason they found support was the lack of interest the mainstream parties had in the problems and concerns of the indigenous population. The BNP saw the opening and stepped in, it was opportunistic and short-lived, once the main parties realised their mistakes and began to address the concerns of the majority the support for the BNP faded away. There was no upsurge of Far Right extremism in Burnley, simply a large number of struggling people who felt they were being ignored, and simply voted for the only party prepared to listen to them and act on their behalf.

Trump does not give a shoite about the "indigenous population" either. Neither does his mate BoJo...
