BUT...many of these people who never vote actually DID vote in the referendum, and voted to leave. In their eyes their vote was a negative one, they were voting against something instead of positively voting for a specific party, which they would never do.

So yes, they don't show up on the votes cast register or as voters in an opinion poll, but they are part of the 40% of people who do not vote.
Well if immigrants are making jobs harder to come by, then people may well be a tad miffed about that. It doesn't make them Far Right Extremists though, of whom I still see very little evidence. How many votes did the BNP or any other of these apparently numerous Far Right parties get at the last GE ? A genuine question, I have no idea myself.
