In which case we need to rest some players for the big game on Saturday. I would be tempted to leave the full backs out because we have no cover for them although it would weaken the team. The 4 I would play, because we have to are Smith, Vassell, Crookes and A N other. The problem we have though is that if we leave the full backs out Iekwe wlll have to play right back and Robertson left so they could be knacked as well. If Hinds had not gone to Bradford PA we would have at least been able to use him. A bad move there Warney with Tricky Trev and Jones unavailble. If we can get a CH in before Sat that could ease the pressure a bit.
In any case, if we do have to play key players, I would only give em a half and then put the young uns on.
Its a game we could do without at this stage and we should have told Manure to piss off.

Think long and hard before attending this one guys. I know its tempting to watch the millers and maybe see a future superstar but make no mistake about it, the EFL are planning to have Man United under 23's playing in it's leagues in ten years time. Have a think if that is something you want to contribute to and also think about how that will affect football clubs with long histories like for example, Rotherham United.
Can't go tonight anyway, but we should put in as many reserves/"loaned out" players as we are allowed. Hinds should not have been sent on loan anyway, until we are clear about the injury situation. He could have have started his loan later in the season. It may be that we are close to signing another utility defender... although, knowing RUFC, we might not be.
Tony I share your concerns about the future. Do you know this is a plan, or is it how it appears to be going?
I would much rather have traditional town based teams than any sort of 'franchise' model, with B teams etc.
Hard to call really, as any attending will be lending some support to the Millers.
Decent point Tony about it being a slippery slope re the young Manures.
Glad the loanees can play so get em in Warney for this match. In which case I would play
Price.
Iekwe, Cooper, Wood, Hinds
Wiles, Lindsey, Macdonald
Smith, Kayode, Morris
If Jones is fit put him in place of Iekwe. Jobs a chuffin good un!

There is definitely an agenda to include the U23 teams of 6, 8 or 10 of the premier league clubs. The EFL can sell Sunderland Vs Liverpool u23's a lot better than Bury vs Burton and they also believe that the Premier league will only start to share the TV money more equitably when the U23 teams are in place.
For Rotherham it means that there will likely be 8 more well funded teams trying to get into the championship (that will be the ceiling) which will make it almost impossible for us to get there and League 1 will become our championship as it were.
The EFL's plans have been knocked a little by the poor reception of the checkatrade but if crowds improve, it will only encourage them to go again.
