Serious questions have to be asked about a lot of decisions made by McInnes, not least the acceptance of players contracts being paid up to allow them to move on.
Admittedly I only follow Aberdeen closely but I'm struggling to recall any other teams having such a percentage of players to leave in this manner, especially when the players in question were the "marquee" signings of their particular windows and vast sums were paid either as a transfer, contract or both.
We're hardly in the position to be spunking money away with such frequence and in turn plead poverty when we can't bring in a higher calibre of player to improve the first eleven, never mind the squad.
Harder hitting journalism wouldn't go amiss as each and every week it's the same procession of banal questions answered with the equally mind numbing answers.
The article is a very accurate reflection of the start to our season, better than the sycophantic cr@p written by the local papers.
I honestly think that 2pm tomorrow will be hugely revealing, maybe even for the rest of McInnes time here. If you consider what he said about how toothless we were after last week's match, does he really believe that, is he brave enough to address it? If he names Bryson, Ojo and Ferguson in the same midfield at home to a promoted team who got humped 4-1 at home by Livi last week then I for one will know that he either lied after the game last week or doesn't have the balls to be more positive. Either way, I have been a long time supporter of McInnes but that will be the start of me leaning towards the other camp.
This is a good article.
A good summary of where we’re at I’d say.
