Surprised it's taken this long and two promotions before somebody came in for them. They probably have hit the ceiling with Lincoln though.

It will be interesting to see how the Cowley brand of football works in the Championship at a club that expects to be challenging for the Premier League again soon. They've had an exceptional career so far, but at some point they will have a bad time, because 99% of managers do.
Look at Paul Hurst: outstanding success at Boston, Grimsby and Shrewsbury, but he struggled at Ipswich where the club's size and expectations weren't matched by its budget in recent times, and now he's struggling at Scunny. Paul Hurst hasn't suddenly become a bad manager, it's just that confidence and momentum has been against him at his last two clubs. The margins between success and failure are quite narrow.

Don't like their cheating tactics telling players to feign injury, so the players can get instructions.
But respect what they've achieved
Perhaps they should remember the formula that succeeded when they took the Cowleys from unfashionable Braintree and look for another unsung rough diamond, such as Woking or Bromley's manager!
Come to think of it, if Neal Ardley was to leave at some point, that wouldn't be a bad idea for us!
A few of the quotes from some of our esteemed posters for those that cant be bothered to read it all. The subject matter being Cowley to replace Sherdan.
The players here will laugh their bollox off at him.An ex PE teacher trying to save us from relegation. No thanks, not the right time.Last summer yeah.
Would surely jump at the chance to come to Notts from a Mickey Mouse outfit like Lincoln.
We need a manager that the players, and supporters, respect because of ability, reputation or previous history. Now is most definitely not the time for social friggin experiments.
Jacob as usual got is spot on by the way with " Would definitely be an appointment I could get behind. "
These are probably the same posters who want Ardley out!
I was being sarky with the Mickey Mouse comment. They were top of the NL at the time and we were at or near the bottom. I live in Lincoln and I knew Cowley would have been a great appointment. There was no chance of him coming to Notts though.
When you’re in non league appointing a bloke with non league experience and success seems like a bit of a no brainer.
