His career is done. He was and is contracted for another 18 months. He can carry on collecting that, whilst he has surgery / rehabilitation.
RA you really are naive with contracts aren't you?
But then again, you had a protected career. It must be new to you.
Oh here we go again. No answers so attack my career again.
God knows why...at least I had a career unlike a certain individual who claims to have an ‘engineering background’ but seems to have worked in everything but.
Yes Tricky...I had a thirty year teaching career. Not the only way I’ve earned money, but maybe I was just better at teaching than you ever have been at engineering.
Either way it’s got sweet fa to do with the thread (yet again) and maybe I am naive with regards contracts...unlike you apparently I’ve never worked in HR.
How about you either say something relevant and inoffensive for a change or just sod off.

None of us know what's in his contract, but I doubt it has a passenger of drink driving accident clause, equally I doubt that he is only entitled to statutory sick pay. Either way, working on fitness rehabilitation is still working as its part of his role, so its safe to say he'll be paid alright for the next 18 months. He'll be best off preparing for life after football.

That's if he's not summarily dismissed for bringing the club into disrepute. Doubt they will though after the rehabilitation mentioned in the club statement.

Would have thought running the prison service was a protected career Keogh did well to play 550 league games by being puss head Captaining Derby to eight wins against the dogs

They don't mention the in- or ex-clusivity of that statement though. Hypothetically.........

If a footballer gets jailed for whatever reason, he is likely to get sacked. Under those circumstances that player would not, I presume, get rehabilitated by DCFC.

If a footballer was sacked for anothe reason such as the disrepute you mention, I think that player would also not get rehabilitated by DCFC.

That may, or may not, leave a small number who carried on after the "club cars" had left. It will be those who would probably be included in the rehab. That night also be dependent on whether or not they were in the cars involved in the crash and any aftermath there might be or if they got taxis home from the Joiner's.

DCFC has, rightly IMO, not displayed its hand, decided to await the outcome of the legal process and given an indication that this is far from over. This stance is to be applauded IMO.

MA got to agree with all of that But not sure why Huddleston seems to have got away with it other than only being captain for a day

Nothing to ‘get away with’ in Huddlestone’s case is there mista?
He allegedly phone filmed Bennett puking up - which just seems weird to me...why would you do that? - and is then reported as having left hours before the incident.
Hasn’t acted like a senior pro or potential captain but you can’t sack someone for not being the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Otherwise I agree with MA...think the club are handling a very difficult situation as well as possible.
Not helped by Kenny Burns shoving his oar in and describing the situation at Derby as a ‘mess’. No **** Sherlock...thanks for your insight. Course he’s never been pissed or behaved badly in his life.

If Lawrence and Bennett played tonight and both got a couple of goals, would all be forgiven?

Depends if we miss Keogh in defence and thus lose 5-4
