The ref strides out to measure the distance and it doesn’t matter if the ref was Ronnie Corbett or John Cleese they would still side out the 10yds?
Wouldn’t you think with the amount of electronic/digital devices there are today the FA can’t come up with a more modern way of measuring the 10yds?
You wouldn't need anything technical to measure the 10 yard out . A piece of string in refs pocket at 10 yard get the person taking the free kick to hold one end and unravel it . Theres your ten yard mark . Wind string back up put it back in your pocket
