(Just a piece of mischief and not to be taken seriously)

BT and his mates are happy with a no deal Brexit which would put a 40% tariff on our sheep, rendering them unsalable abroad.

40% tariffs on sheep imports ? Is this the EU you're talking about 59 ? Sounds more like a Mafia run protectionist racket to me. Of course I jest, take out 'Mafia run' and then it's a fairly accurate description of the CAP.

    Get yer facts right man!

The 40% will be imposed because of WTO rules - not the EU's, in which we pay 0%.

Seeing as you mentioned sheep 59, this is from the NFU website.

"The EU has confirmed that in the event of no deal, it will apply its existing tariffs to imports coming from the UK. WTO rules mean it could do no less. A list of all of the tariffs the EU would apply to the UK is set out in the EU’s Common Customs Tariff (CCT) schedule, for example lamb exporters to the EU would face a tariff of around 67%, whilst beef is around 85%."

Bloody hell, the CAP's an even bigger protection racket than I imagined and I wonder what sort of tariffs EU cheese producers will have to pay to export their Roquefort, Camembert and Gorgonzola to the UK, whatever it is I'll bet Mrs Kirkham, Dewlay and Leagrams etc are rubbing their hands in anticipation and taking on extra staff.

I suggest we should all read up on the impact of trading under WTO rules.

    Not good.

Did that before the referendum 59, as did all the Brexiteers, it's why Boris and Farage wanted to negotiate a trade deal alongside the WA, then there would be no need for WTO rules, and no need for a backstop. It's what Davis was aiming for at the start of the negotiations, but Barnier said no talks on trade deals and our Remoaner PM told Davis to back off and play by EU rules, so here we are today, looking at leaving without a WA and trading under WTO rules, because of the EU and traiterous Remoaner MPs.

I've patiently explained this to you several times already 59, what is so difficult about it for Remoaners to grasp ?

The poor lass must be turning in her grave BT, as she looks down on the to$$ers masquerading as politicians now. Her reputation grows by the day.
