    First saw Al in 1988 In Glasgow at the Pavilion.

    Small world I was also at that gig. I saw him about 3 years previously at the Queens Hall in Edinburgh. After the pavilion gig myself and a couple other fans went for a drink with him wee pub down the road. Al asked the barman what kind of wine he had "red and white says the barman.. I'll have a pernod says Al lovely guy.

    How was the concert? Did he play Roads To Moscow for you? I didn’t “get” the last few verses until I saw an interview with Al and this was one of many songs that he explained the meaning of. What a great story teller.

    The Its_a_goal reference is actually for Henning Boel.
