But we lost the referendum so I'm accepting we should leave, but I want just the dame amount of say in the terms of how we leave as you do. Same for all the 48%.The final terms of the future relationship should reflect 100% of the UK, not just the 52%.
But that is simply not going to happen in this non make-believe world, Raging. Corbyn and Johnson are not going to hold hands and make daisy chains together while they come up with a plan that they both agree upon (apparently millions of people think Johnson should be in jail for holding the beliefs that he does).

Hell, half of Corbyn's MPs don't really enjoy sitting on the same benches as him and quite a few Tories really don't like Johnson.

There is no deal that will satsify the 100%

Perhaps if your pal boris hadn't chucked out several mps from his own party for not towing the line he may have passed the second motion today.

...and it is not wise to quote someone who generally talks bollax on here...his posts are a bit borishish you can't take them at face value...

Don't be too despondent by the way you are a remainer at heart you may even get your wish yet! Go on give us a little smile at least..

    Spot on Mr Raging.
It always amuses me that Kerr knows what Corbyn will do next or what Labour party members think of him. He must be very very close to the Labour party to know these things. Do you think he could be closet Lab? You never know...get him signed up...

Perhaps if Corbyn's enforcers hadn't driven so many MPs out of the Labour Party, the opposition might have defeated the second reading.

If IBS make a fair point then it’s a fair point, irrespective of whether it was meant to be tongue in cheek or provocative.

Personally, I’m relaxed with the defeat of the guillotine. I think Rory Stewart made a fair point when he said that appearing to rush the legislation might reduce its credibility. Let’s hope that the EU can read BoJo’s cues and will now grant an extension that is long enough to avoid no deal, but short enough to make Parliament realise that it can’t kick the can down the road forever.

Yes heard the Rory Stewart speech did make some sense. What do you think will happen next?

I think that it is the beginning of the end now and once we safely get over the 31st Oct I think the opposition parties will look to tie things up quickly. The ERG will skulk back down the hole they came from.

Think Lab would be daft being enticed into a GE showdown better biding their time with a weak govt and trying to amend the deal the best they can. Think they can torment the tories for a while yet...sort of kick a man while he's down.

(I have a nasty side me as you know kerrypoo but not to you of course )

I don't think the opposition will manage to get either a further referendum or customs union clause into the bill (as a matter of law, I don't see how the latter could be made watertight).

They may well get slightly stronger regression provisions on worker's rights. The sticking point will be on an attempt to secure a 'meaningful vote' provision in respect of the end of the transition period. Johnson really won't like that as it will raise the spectre of further Parliamentary dithering and game playing at the end of 2020.

Sir Kevin Barron is standing down at the next election. His seat is vulnerable depending who Momentum choose to replace him.
Don’t be surprised if Rother Valley changes completely.

It was that Bray arse with the megaphone too, even Remainers think he's an idiot.

Momentum probably have a Jared O'Mara clone lined up.
