Didn't see that casp. Would like to have... Saw the clip where someone in the flooded area said "you took your time" which was quite good. If the floods had been in some leafy suburb down south we would be having days of national mourning now.

Would rather they Nationalize this one and drop the Water, Gas, utilities etc.

There you go again, Tweedle, with this guff about people who "actually care". Care about what? Care about who? Does the fact that I sold my car and stopped taking overseas holidays almost 20 years ago show I care. Does my Corbyn supporting friend in London care when she paid a fortune for private tuition to get her kids into a top school? You tell me. But I'm not impressed with raging's sanctimonious self regard nor (despite warnings from Cam) am I prepared to kiss the rrse of a guy who spends thousands on a jaunt to Africa and gets other people to stump up a fraction of that for charity and claims it really proves he "cares".

On the BBC tonight it's Children in Need, a big chance to see a plethora of highly paid luvvies doing their " caring" act

Back to politics these "spending promises" are getting hilarious.

It's sad though that so many fall for it

Aye, there will be a lot of relieved wealthy and privileged people if Boris gets back in. If Corbyn was to get in...meltdown...and the usual crap about a communist state and the country being skint. All that equates to is the fear that they will have SOME of THEIR wealth and privileges taken off them and, oh bless them, it will hurt . They will forget that under austerity measures and a REPRESSIVE( Whoa careful Rolymiller sounds a bit intolerant that!!) Tory govt MILLIONS have never had anything approaching wealth or privilege. Should the tory's get in again they can look forward to more of the same and worse if they get a large majority.

If you want a definition of a "good" capitalist have a gander at The Apprentice. These are the sort of people the poor in this country are up against ie self seeking, arrogant, ignorant, greedy bas tards who would sell their own grannys to get to the top. A good metaphor for the Tory party methinks...

Your making up of things gets out of hand Monty. Sometimes you appear quite bonkers. Clearly you and the gang believe in your superiority. That belief is misplaced.

Sign of the wealthy running scared to me Casper. Drop in the £ probably next. Businesses shifting abroad? It will come if their is a whiff of Labour coming. Then the likes of Kerr start saying we are always skint under Labour. Well, if you want the answer why, its there. The rich don't want to become less rich . It is so simple a kiddies economics class would understand it. Capitalism does not work for the many it only works for the few. The sooner it is replaced by some thing better nowt will change for the poor.
