Love Thy Neighbour?

לֹֽא־תִקֹּ֤ם וְלֹֽא־תִטֹּר֙ אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י עַמֶּ֔ךָ וְאָֽהַבְתָּ֥ לְרֵעֲךָ֖ כָּמ֑וֹךָ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָֽה. (Leviticus 19:18 ) O T.

King James translation:
"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord."
......''the children of thy people,'' (your people! )

After all, there is a separate commandment to love the stranger (if he lives among the Israelites) in Leviticus 19:34. But there was no universal commandment to love all fellow humans.
The Old Testiment should be read and understood in Hebrew! This sentence ends with ( יְהוָֽה ,Lord) which is Yahweh,or Jehovah.Jehovah is a Latinization of the Hebrew יְהֹוָה, one vocalization of the Tetragrammaton יהוה (YHWH), the proper name of the God of Israel in the Hebrew Bible and one of the seven names of God in Judaism.

This Tetragramm YHWH- יְהוָֽה, is formed out out the Hebrew words, past-עבר ,present
ההווה , and future יהיה .Therefore יְהוָֽה, God is all that has past, the present and the future, which is everything. Now you understand what is the word 'YAHWEH'

Shulamit Aloni: Oh dear another lefty. She supported the 'Peace Now Movement'. Where is the P N M today - Gone ! Just a tiny few may support them,it's their ideas and ideology,not practical at all!

What did they want ....to talk to the Palestinians, but we got rockets ,to talk to the Palestinians ,and again rockets. so this 'Peace now Movement',they do not understand reality.

UN adopts Israeli resolution on agricultural technology - Arab League abstains

Some 147 countries voted in favour. Arab League countries, who usually automatically vote against Israeli-led resolutions, decided to abstain.

The Israeli resolution, titled "Agricultural Technologies for Development," is intended to help improve access to agricultural technology capabilities for developing countries, helping fulfil the secretary-general's goal of promoting sustainable development, the Israeli Mission to the UN said in a statement.
"The resolution speaks to Israel's strong capabilities in agriculture, irrigation and water management practices [and in] youth job creation in agriculture, and is consistent with Israel's longstanding cooperation with other countries, especially in Africa," the statement reads. "The overwhelming support the resolution received indicates its importance for many nations around the world, especially developing countries."

"Israeli technologies have made the State of Israel a global power of knowledge and innovation that contributes to the global development effort," he said. "The countries that chose not to support us are the very ones that need to implement this resolution the most. Their decision to stick to their political biases only ends up harming their citizens, who are thirsty for the technology and advancement opportunities outlined in the resolution."

Despite all of this wonderful technology, Gaza is bleeding to death and a quarter of a million Palestinian people are living in tents in Jordan as refugees. Must be truly wonderful to be a Jew?
