Why would any sane, rational person want to go into a "War Zone?" Balan's words not mine. Fair enough if you are in the Armed Forces and being paid to do it, but not me.

The only advice I can give you is personal BT. For many years I refused to visit Turkey because of what I believe was the massacre of 1.5 million Armenian Christians by the Ottomans during World War 1. I was on holiday one year in Samos and I was talking to a Greek about visiting the city of Ephesus in modern day Turkey. I said I really wanted to visit but expressed my reservations about their record on human rights in WW1 and the years afterwards. He said he had visited Turkey and as a Greek felt he had more reason than most to take offence at the Turks. He gave me his best advice which was to go and see for myself. It didn’t mean I had to abandon my principles.

I have given this a lot of thought over the last few weeks outwood and seriously, Israel is not getting a dollar of my holiday budget...
