You pump out made up polls and call it developed my old school hasn’t changed one bit it’s still the **** hole it was back then Rotherham town centre shops have all but shut no cooplands no Woolworths no Burger King no kfc no Thornton’s no WH Smith no m&s nothing but a B&M A Argos a Superdrug and the rest is ether bookies banks or a pup, I doubt you even live near Rotherham because anyone who does knows it’s a refugee camp for gambling alcoholics.

It won’t ever be complete they are more concreting on Parkgate than town centre look at the development gone into that area, all that’s being done in Rotherham is a bit of spit and polish to make people go ohhhhh look how shiny it is, but the fact of the matter is nothing is there but drink and slots and banks to fund your addiction.

Shops shut because the parking charges was too much people would sooner carry on to Meadowhall or stop at Parkgate instead both of which parking is free. The second reason is rent from what I heard Rotherham council have put up shop rent to redevelop Rotherham town centre (don’t remember year they did it) unfortunately a lot of shops dropped like flys soon after.

The man in Hong Kong says Rotherham is great. Why do you question him?

That's only part of the problem.
Using your logic why did Marks & Spencer's, Maplins, Comet and a load of others move to Parkgate Retail and then close down.
Home base / Bunnings in the ex BQ warehouse is also leaving. ( up to 70% sales on now ) mid December.

Link is from 2017 about Rotherham Town centre, doubt it's changed much but rate able values were 2% less than the rest of the country.
Some Commercial properties in Rotherham are actually private landlords.

It's far from perfect Rotherham but it's no different from a lot of the rest of the country.
Internet shopping hasn't helped either, it's now damage limitation as far as High Streets in the UK are concerned.
