Got to the polling station as always at 06.55. I'm normally first to vote. Not today. Fifth in line and when I left there were more than a dozen in the queue. In the end after all the arguments my visceral dislike of Tories won out.

My wife, and her family - all Jewish, think that Corbyn has been weak on anti-semitism, but it has been dreadfully manipulated by the mass media who do not focus en masse on the Islamophobia in the Conservative party. Likewise the Islamophobic, homophobic and racist comments coming from their leader. All openly made, all undeniable. All untouched with criticism by Kerr!

My wife and her family will all be voting for Labour. No one is a fan of Corbyn, most of us wish he had stepped down ages ago, but this is much bigger than him. We know were we're going with the Tories, we know what it looks like, we're half way there already and it's a **** outcome for the majority of people under the baby boomer generation. Labour policies are not ideal by any means, they are over reached and some things will not be able to happen. But it will be a **** sight better than what we know will happen under the tories.

But each to their own. Happy polling day all!

I really like you, raging. You have a point to make on Brexit and support it with "I often debate Brexit with my old mates in Rotherham..." You have a point to make on Muslims and you support it with "I spoke to two Muslim supply tutors and they..." Now you want to make a point about antisemitism in Labour and suddenly your wife and all her family are not only Jewish but (but but but) you know they will all be voting Labour. You are a fantasist of the first order and unscrupulous to boot.

Lol. All down to the mass media again - shooting the messenger because you don't like the message or getting your excuse in early? .

You know about Johnson's previous comments because they were reported in the mass media.

There is prejudice throughout society. Labour has made their antisemitism an issue by denial and foot dragging. That's the point. When Alistair Campbell admitted to voting Lib Dem in the euros he was gone in 48 hours. When a chum of Corbyn like Ken Livingstone is accused of making antisemitic comments, the party manages to drag it out for months until being shamed into action

Thanks for telling us that your extended family don't like Corbyn. How does that help? He is the Labour leader despite their views.

So if labour get in I'm guessing their negotiations with the EU would go something like this?

EU: 'Hello Mrs Abbott, so you want a deal that you can put up against remain in a referendum?'

    Labour: 'Correct

EU: 'So all we have to do is offer you a sh1t deal and everyone will vote remain?'

    Labour: 'errrrrrrrrr, yes'

Well for the first time in many a year I've decided not to bother voting. I feel saddened and let down were squabbling over what's on offer.. it about time the public stood up to politicians and held them accountable for there actions.
For far to long we are voting for the best of a bad bunch.. well this time I don't even think we have that..
Gl to us all. I think we will need it

Impartial, knowledgeable observers know that all deals including No Deal are 'sh1t' compared to what we have now. It doesn't bother me as I have the resources to get through it and an Irish passport but the madness of the working class leading their children to a less prosperous future through ignorance and prejudice is simply sad.

Oh Monty, I've spoken of my Jewish in laws on here before in relation to anti-semitism. I find it almost amusing, but really quite sad that people that people cannot even envisage a place where a white British person could possibly work alongside Muslims (as well as black African/Caribbean, and a host of other faiths). Are you aware that East London is a little bit multi-cultural?

My wife's family have had many negative thoughts about Corbyn and Labour in the last couple of years, but is it also a surprise that despite that, in the last few weeks have looked at the choices on offer and have voted for them as the only alternative to the more awful Tories. If the Lib Dems were the opposition in their constituency, they would have voted for them, just to stop the Tories and where we are heading. So would I.

And you find it also surprising that I, being brought up and living in Rotherham for 22 years and then west Yorks, and then Herts and now London might retain contact with friends I went to school with, a couple of which are 'Brexit Central' crazy?

    Well fair enough!

The tories have denied that anti-semitism is an issue in their party. It could and should have been an equally damaging hysterical story, with equally damaging challenges and pressure to reform if the mass media chose to press it as such. The prime minister has abused blacks, gays and Muslims quite openly, several MPs have used Islamophobic language or shared Islamophobic tweets. Of course we hear about it, it is reported, but the mass media and their owners ultimately decide which stories remain in the public domain and which drop out of focus. On this I'm sure we'll disagree.

He’s a political activist. What do you expect.

Saying that, he is true to his beliefs.

I’d wager a few quid, the MM Barnsley contingent would be True Blue Tories if they had a few quid in the bank.
