Odd that most winners of the Sports Personality of the Year trophy, have no personality.

Sportsperson of the year might be a better title given previous winners like Nigel Mansell, Nick Faldo, Andy Murray and Lewis Hamilton.

Your old lefty Bill Owen avatar didn't last long [once you found out] did it Grist?

    I agree about Stokes though.
He won a World Cup Final and it wasn't just one day of a test match, he won the test match and set up the drawn series instead of Auz running away with it.

Some people have mentioned Stokes did it for England and Hamilton lives abroad etc.
Just to remind everyone that Ben Stokes is a Kiwi and was not born or brought up in England.
    Still deserved it though
He has lived here since he was 12 though and learned his cricket here.
(not that I'm bothered who wins this award)

In pursuit of inclusion they will probably have a “shiniest wheelchair” award next year.

I understand your pursuit against BBC/PC Grist but do you understand how degrading such a comment would feel to the millions of people in wheelchairs who take part in sports?
