For me the biggest frustration is all the calls for Warne to leave, these in my opinion are somewhat farcical. The man has shown his capabilities, as he got us promoted immediately after relegation from the Championship, the first time around in his tenure.
Yes, we should be doing better as I also believe we have a much stronger team than the one that last got us promoted. I have never known a season start so chaotic with cancelled games and playing catch up in midweek games. The amount of injuries is phenomenal of late and Warne must be scratching his head thinking, 'what next?'
I have to say though, on occasion this season I have questioned Warne's team selections, inept substitutions, be it for the wrong player or how late he introduces a sub. These decisions have been very poor this season and not just at the fault of having a weakened side.Is Barker too influential? Has Hamshaw started to get more involved in decision making with the subs? He can be clearly seen as the trio of Warne, Barker and himself discuss what's next before subbing.
Bad luck is all around us at this present time regarding who's fit to play but, is this our bad time with only better things to come?
I sincerely hope so, as I truly believe we more than have the right squad to gain promotion this season.
