Its always hard to say, we have signed some gems like Butcher, Shanks, Smith etc and also some stinkers like Sow, King, Pawlett and Cammy Smith (harsh on him) in this new regime. What I would say tho is I hope we have stopped signing players who once were good but have struggled with injury (excluding Freeman who is still a yound load) in the hope of them being what they once were.

Every manager has faults, Neilson no different, however in his case far outweighed by his strengths, they aren't in the same category, one has so far been a very good manager for us, the other was an embarrassing utd manager and saw us to our weakest in my life time so presumably our weakest since the mid to late fifties. FACT.

Looking like Sow is back and cant be put elsewhere; so Robbie going keep him as an option. Despite his poor showing so far, from what I have seen he does have some nice touches (i know this is not what is needed). But his height alone if he can bring himself to jump maybe of value and offer another dimension and allow us to play a 'lump it forward game,' which we sometimes resort to. Everyone deserves a second chance except Lyng etc.

We’re in such a good place now though that we don’t need to be rushing out and panic buying in pub players from Barnet. If we had no arrivals and no departures this window I would have no quarrel whatsoever. Any that do come in have to be of a standard to be able to play in the Premiership to a good level - getting in Championship standard will serve no purpose at all now - we’re beyond that thankfully. What is good is that because of where we are we should be able to attract such players with a 95% guarantee of only 5 months ‘down below’. By contrast, we’re probably able to offer better assurances regarding Premiership football next season than, incredibly, Hearts for instance.

One was backed by decent owners plus given money to buy a 30+ goal a season striker, one wasn't. And you could say the same about most of our recent managers.

Czaba Lazlo is, was and always will be a complete fud! I have ****ing nightmares about his tenure. Ray Mckinnon has also flopped massively ever since leaving united. Robbie is a ****ing God in comparison, budget or no budget. The unity within the dressing room now, compared to the toxic environment under Czaba says everything.

Previous recent managers were backed, to the tune of 30+ players, to replace the Tim Two etc but they fecked the selection of the replacements up badly. We do need a holding mid as has been seen plainly when Butcher out or back at centrehalf. Not a fan of Sow, but can understand not focusing on a new striker at this point as we have options up front. A summer review of that may prove to be the wise option.
