I find it crazy that ANY CLUB would pay the money mentioned for a player who is unproven at any level above the Scottish Championship. This league really is horrendous. The calibre of defenders are very very poor. The English Championship is a massive step up to what we're playing against every week. It's a big gamble for whoever, if anyone actually does, buy him before next January at least.

In Tony Asghar and Mal Brannigan, not to mention Mr Ogren himself, we have people in charge now who actually know what they're doing.

Shanks is happy here ATM. Don't think Ogren will cash in this early, and the longer Shanks stays happy and here at United, the better for both parties.

If he can score goals in the Premiership for us, his options will increase, and he'll be worth more too.

I’d get rid now and get the money in. Let’s face it he’s not exactly going to be playing anyway is he?

Edit to add - how have Palace got away with this? He’s blatantly been ‘tapped up’ - this move has been engineered for 6 months plus.
