Good viewing
One of my all time favourites Serpico.
Agree about Midsommar. Cracking film. Same director's Hereditary is very good. Anybody seen Oscar nominated Parasite ? Got great reviews but don't know whether i fancy a sub-titled film.
A couple of years old but I really enjoyed "The Infiltrator". It's based on a true story of an undercover customs agent from the early 80s who takes down Pablo Escobars money laundering exercise. As dangerous jobs go it must have been one of the most dangerous back then.
Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I really did enjoy it.
Just watched The Irishman, a very lengthy film. Big big cast as you'd expect to play all the baddies in the film
Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and a decent appearance for the up and coming English actor Stephen Graham, he seems to be everywhere on the TV and screen of late. Bet he really enjoyed that with such great actors.
The film - It's another one of those bygone days all about the Mafia and one simple truck driver who turns into a hitman for the mob. Brings into it the big Union man Jimmy Hoffa from the 50' @ 60's. The way they've portrayed him shows just how powerful union money was.
As for the Kennedys it's briefly covered how the Mafia disposed of J F Kennedy in Texas etc. Make sure you've put a lot of time to one side to see this one.
