Crawford scored with quite a few headers too, even though he was fairly little. Same for Phillips and Agard. Often quick to react in goalmouth scrambles and got the ball into the net.

I love Michael Smith. I'd say he's one of our most consistent players. Some have criticised aspects of his skills set, but

let's remember who he's playing for and at what level. I've been critical of some of his heading ability, but I think this has improved

a lot recently. He's scoring more with better placed headers.

Challenge next ywar if in Championship is that I think he’s best with another striker. Will we be able to play two up front in a higher league? I don’t mean to say he does anything particularly wrong, just that he was very good at running the channels and winning the ball last year, meaning he was then the one crossing it in. I guess Crooks can help on that front playing behinnd him.

Difficult to compare really with Revell as different times and leagues, but I loved watching Alex play as much as Smith now when he’s on song. As soon as a goal kick or long ball was in the air, he would set off sprinting half way across the pitch (assuming the pass was a bit wayward haha) and leap with all his might to try and win it. Sure he wasn’t as good as Smith with ball at feet, but we was definitely a big part of allowing us to get good territory in games and leading from the front.
