Mr Duckenfield is your stand out reference Grist .

Look I appreciate that Police Officers have a difficult job but then again why would it be an easy job and when was it ever an easy job ? .

Football compared to the 70's and 80's is an absolute piece of pyss to manage today by comparison .

Chuff me I've seen some stuff back in the 80's when we played Wednesday and compared to today it's hardly worth mentioning .

You are quoting the Peter Principle here Grist, which applies to all management structures everywhere. The PP suggests that staff are routinely promoted because of perceived success in their existing roles and will keep being promoted until they reach their "level of incompetence". It is sometimes applied to the Police, Government Ministers, Civil Servants, Football Directors and some would even claim, to Fitness Coaches

It’s a bit of a “refinement” of that where people are given a boost up the ladder because they are female, ethnic background or ***ual leaning regardless of their overall competence or any perceived success.

Take a look at the head of the Met police and the Head of the London Fire Brigade to see this in action.

His dad was locked up. The police officer involved needs investigating.

The dad is a complete bell end. Always has been.

Kicked off before what people see on the video.

On another day that young lad could have died with that blow to the head , it happens and only sheer luck makes you live another day .

OK he's put himself in a bit of a position and he probably needs to face a court himself for brawling in the middle of Barnsley town centre following a football game .

However this fecking police officer needs to face the consequences of his own actions .

Never right that for me and never will be .

Looks to me like that copper really wanted to whack someone to satisfy his own sadistic urges. Reading what eye witnesses have said, he ran a fair distance so had time to decide.

That said, the lad has ginger hair so he probably deserved it.

Obviously don’t know the full story but from that the police just went in wading the baton at high level which is totally wrong, should aim for the knees to fetch them down.
The officer should be removed from public duties until it’s sorted out.

No need for that force from the copper. He will be sorted no doubt.

It’s funny though that you get some dickhead wannabe hooligan out on the streets.
Maybe don’t put yourself in that position in the first place?

Not all police are like that there is good and bad in every profession.
