Great win v Rangers for Kilmarnock tonight and Alex seems to be getting them playing well with three league wins on the bounce plus a creditable draw in the Scottish cup away at Aberdeen. His celebrations for the winning goal shows how much it means to him and as Dave says Alex wore the Notts shirt with pride and, hopefully, has a long and successful career as a manager ahead of him.

I remember Dyer scoring the goal against Stoke at the Brittania stadium to give us the most undeserved win ever. On the way out the Stoke fans smashed one of our supporters coach windows.

That was shortly after Gary Brazil took over from Sam Allardyce and we were still in the top two of league one. That was one hell of a capitulation, don't think we even made the playoffs in the end.

I reckon that goal was about the only time we got out of our own half and whilst it was totally undeserved, I didn't feel too sorry for them, we've been on the receiving end of those type of results before.

Any half-decent manager would have got that side promoted, massive mistake giving it to Brazil. We've only got ourselves to blame for that though, we all thought Brazil should be given the job on the strength of one or two good performances and Pavis obliged, then we dropped from 1st to 7th in a matter of a few weeks and that was it, we were stuck going 7th to 8th and back again for the rest of the season. I've never been comfortable with calls for promoting a caretaker manager since. I was having a complete meltdown on here over Kiwomya when he was given it full-time, serious Brazil flashbacks and unfortunately he only proved to be far worse.

Something we agree on, Gary Brazil what an idiot- wrecked a great chance for to return to tier 2

Up there with Gary Mills as the worst Notts manager ever ( and with Kiwomya as well).
