That was pitiful to watch. We know where the blame lies of course. The players have finally given up the ghost after our 17th defeat of the season. The head coach is a one trick pony who's tactics have been found art by his fellow championship managers. Struber has shot himsen in the foot bringing in his 2 wild cards from Austria who have automatically gone into the side but have brought nothing better to the table. However, I'm not going to criticise that too much because given our budget and tight arsed owners Struber probably thought best to stick with what he knows. A cant blame the guy for that.
Our players are running on empty with just under a third of the season remaining. With our threadbare youthful squad it was always going to be on the cards that energy levels would drop.
Personally I just want this nightmare season over with because it's become almost to the point of laughable how out of our depth we are. I fear an avalanche of goals in our net on setdy.

Cough.
Agree totally. The clubs dead for me unless we get owners with aspirations of the Premier League anyway. I can't see the point moving up and down the leagues form here to eternity if I'm honest.
It's great having the odd trip to Wembley or play-off drama now and again. However, when that gets old hat and you don't see a progression you question why bother?
That's why your Crewe's and Walsall's of this world have never achieved anything. People see a lack of ambition and think I'd be better off watching Stoke City, Wolves, Aston Villa etc.
Crewe and Walsall like us are small towns. I don't think it's a question of people seeing a lack of ambition when they go to watch those clubs, it's either in your blood or it isn't. When it isn't in your blood you pyss off to Anfield or the Etihad to get a poxy fix. I haven't much time for people like that of a fickle nature in the footballing fraternity. They'll never experience or feel real passion about a football club and just will never 'get it' no matter how many times they go to these big stadiums.
This is why it's hurting us. We are a realistic bunch, we know we have to sell, we always have had, nowts changed theear. We ain't asking for daft money to be spent either but the principles of this plan are purely for short term financial gain and its killing us on the pitch. The best interests of matters on the pitch long term are being forfeited. Most fans accept our financial constraints and the youth scouting policy seems to be a good way forward because it keeps the club financially in the black, it just needs reassessing and a tweak for a chance of it being successful at championship level.
Unfortunately the businessmen are not willing to meet the fans halfway which is creating ill feeling. I don't think many Barnsley fans who choose not to attend oakwell will be rushing off to support a club with more ambition.
