Agreed mate, when you think back Alloa at times in October cut us to ribbons so why not just play Butcher,Harkes,Powers,Connolly,Watson and Reynolds and settle for a clean sheet and 1 goal from Lawrence of Arabia?.

We should introduce Rakish into the starting line up when we play an easy home game against say Morton or Arbroath.

We don’t seem to be consistent on who can / can’t play on plastic though I’d reckon Reynolds with his previous injury must be in doubt

    I’d like to see though

    Benji
    Smith Watson Reynolds Robson
    Butcher Harkes
    McM Bingham Appere
    Shanks.

The attacking 4 can all rotate as well to accompany shanks which would add some threat

As others have said though I expect Connolly and Pawlett will be fitted in somewhere.

Ok here we go again then guys. This and next week will I feel define the rest of the season. We’ve had a few defining moments so far - winning all games in a difficult start to the season in August, 2-1 v Arbroath when one down on 90 minutes having lost to Ayr previously, winning 3-0 to ICT then beating the Funsters at Dens in two consecutive away games and more recently beating QOS and Partick away when teams would have seen this as potential banana skins. All of these have contributed at key points to get us where we are and to make teams think we are uncatchable.

I feel tonight and next week at home to Caley is another, possibly the final one. With ICT not playing this weekend, two victories will genuinely see us in the final straight. Two defeats and, well, let’s just not go there. So, in contrast to pretty well all our other efforts at Recreation Park, let’s set off on the front foot, be prepared for the certainty that they will work like madmen to try and upset us and get the bloody result.

    C’MON UNITED,

Siegrist, L Smith, Powers, Connolly, Pawlett, Bingham, Robson, Butcher, Harkes, Shankland and Watson.

    Watson back which is good

Powers, Butcher and Harkes not so good so let's see how it goes with that, only need two of those unless Harkes is advanced,no real width

We really need McMullan back to full fitness and Appere, at least the latter is on the bench

What is going on with McMullan, is he just missing Stanton? He was excellent before Christmas, has the most assists in the league comfortably despite going off the boil and being in and out since the injury

Really important player when fit and getting a run

We were playing better before we visited them last time and they were playing worse, Alloa are better now than then and currently top 2 in the form table (along with ourselves despite our recent sluggish performances)

We need to play well tonight or we won't be making it 7 in a row on the road in the league

Heard just after the Arbroath game that McMullan had fallen out big time with Neilson. Could be BS but strange he is still absent again.
