Ipswich won't sack Lambert, he signed a contract in January 2020 which runs out in 2025. Ipswich don't have the money to pay it up. I don't think the media did their job on this report, by checking the signing of a new contract.

You make a good and valid point Eric, but I'd add just one caveat: there could be performance clauses within the contract which, if not achieved, allow the club to sack him relatively cheaply.

Given his past record that would be like Lambert signing a suicide note.

Grumps, good points about the performance clauses, there may be just something in there. With such high demands from clubs of Managers and with nothing proven, other than they were riding high at the top of the league at the time, I found it astounding how Ipswich even offered to extend his contract to 2025.

My, how a few months can bring Lambert and the whole club crashing down. Should they fail to even reach the play offs, surely something will happen. If not, he's got a great Chairman as an employer, for someone who will have failed so badly. It's not over yet so let it play itself out and we'll see.

I have all the faith they will beat Coventry on Saturday, well according to my Prediction League 5/5.

All sorts of stories out at the moment from the media.
Warnock to be installed as next manager is one rumour.
Ipswich fans are upset with Marcus Evans and Paul Lambert.
At least let PL be in charge till at least Saturday, who knows they could do us and themselves a favour against Coventry.

Lose Saturday and he could be gone regardless of his long contract.

It's quite funny reading the Ipswich site.
Go back to January and giving pl the 5 year contract was a great move.
    Threads now consist of

get rid of chairman as killing the club..

Lambert/Ipswich should be top 2 with this team and cos he's not Lambert has to go...

Get warnock in though some say it's a bad move even though he would get him promotion.

There even saying they got relegated last season because Hurst Bought a squad of league one players. But there now doing bad because they were poor league one players.

Nsala. Nolan, Jackson, Keane. Edwards, Norwood. (Any more) I'm sure we're star performers 2 season ago. Poor management? Too much cash?
