If it was the US that brought it into the country under cover of the Military games, I guess that would have been the plan. It is a crazy coincidence, the timing and the place, that you start seeing the first cases a few months later in that same city. None of them can be trusted so who knows.

    ''Herd immunity'' laid bare

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/h...-a9400171.html

Scientists say there's no assurance that contracting the disease gives immunity or predicting the course and development of the disease as it spreads.

This Govt needs to behave like other Govts around the world and stop it as much as possible - not just write off a large proportion of its citizens through its survival of the fittest fantasies.

For example, just allowing flights to arrive unchecked from Italian quarantine zones is beyond reckless

Are you seriously suggesting that this was an American virus?

You do realise the effect that this virus will have in Americas own back yard? Have you seen the state of most Americans? This virus will kill millions of people in America.

The Chinese and Iran are suggesting it. They would, wouldn't they, but I wouldn't be surprised to be honest. It wouldn't be the first time American 'intervention' has seriously backfired on both them and the rest of the world.

Nah... not buying into conspiracy theories. Coronavirus has been around for 50 or more years...apparently.

Millions upon millions of Americans are uninsured for healthcare. Millions upon millions are obese and have dire medical conditions. Let’s see which society copes with this virus better... the Chinese or the Americans.

I know who my money is on.

But how will you know the true figures for China, Grantham, when the media is controlled by the state?

The media is not one organisation, is it? Or do you think 'they're all the same'? Who or what is BG, by the way?

Three figures stand out there for me - Iran, Russia and the Scandinavian countries. Iran seems to be a textbook case in how not to handle the virus (ie, be in denial about it), and I’m assuming the Russian number (34) is compiled by the person who also counts Putin’s votes. Bizarre why the number of victims in places like Norway and Sweden are so comparatively high, though.
