In olden days that's how empires were formed ...suppression of locals through might and force and laterly economic force... Domination not possible today. In local areas...yes...but globally...not really. So a meaningless kind of question. The globe is smaller today. Pacts are formed nowadays. But technology know how can greatly enhance any country. The world is changing rapidly today...and many won't make the transition on it. Go the way of the dinosaurs...extinct.

Or you could "accidentally" let loose a virus that you could bring under control in your own country but would cause economic collapse in the rest of the world. But to do that you would have to have a low value of human life. I guess i watch too many Bond films.

This virus is affecting the Chinese more than any other nation on earth Des.

With people locked away at home and consumer spending across the world dropping through the floor and GDP in most countries being trashed......this in itself will hurt the country that produces most of the goods the world relies on.....China!

China has gained world domination quietly by making us reliant on the goods it produces.

This is down to eating wild f king bats and monkey stew!

The truth is out there somewhere. There is the conspiracy theory in China that the US military placed the bug in China. Chinese officials are actually openly backing the theory.

Sounds a lot like they they are trying to distance themselves from something that started in Wuhan and which the Chinese Communist Government failed to act on, as they were reluctant to admit its existence. It is not the first Corona type virus to start in China. It is not the first time that a Communist country has lied and lied, because that is what they do.

Mick, as I understand it, Europe now has more cases than China had at its peak. Not that that makes any conspiracy theory more factual of course.

But they are now controlling it while in the the Western countries it is running riot. Still just a conspiracy story. A Bat bit a Rat and a Chinaman ate the Rat. Yeah that seems much more credible. But we had Asian flu in 1957,and recently had Swine flu and Bird flu but life went on as normal. Why is there mass hysteria and lockdown by world leaders? What do they know that they aren't telling us?
