I only ever pop into my local on a Friday. I'll be fuming if it's shut on Friday. 😠

This virus is going to go through us, it's how we cope with the elderly and those with other chronic (particularly respiratory) conditions that will determine the death toll if critical care is overwhelmed.

How can Boris tell us to keep out of pubs, clubs, theatres and cinemas etc.... but...... not tell them to close?

My shift pattern is brutal, now I have to work 50 - 75 hour weeks then sit at home on my hairy hoop until it's time to go back to work....

    *** me....
The government has (actually quite a clever) strategy for handling this crisis and the strategy is being driven by top specialists in the field of epidemiology (not Boris ). The arrival of Summer and avoidance of re-infection are major considerations.

Plenty of criticism for Boris but have you seen any from anyone respected in this field?

The point I am making is....

Before telling people to avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and cinemas.... the government should be closing said establishments....

Their thinking is..... It has to be done at the right time Mick. You can't keep the populous quarantined for long, they won't comply.

Now that Trump has been forced to take the coronavirus seriously, his Fox boosters have pivoted to praising how well he’s done. And any criticism is just partisan “politicising.” You cannot make it up. I am sure many believed him.

Amazing, he was saying it was a hoax and led by the Democrats now it's the China Virus. This is the main man in the free world that is going to solve this issue! He even offered the German company doing the vaccine 1 billion dollars for exclusive American use! One can only hope he gets a big dose of it.

What a world we live in these days.

Pboro, the illnesses you use as comparisons in post 49 have one huge diference, they are not contagious.

The Robert Koch Institute here in Germany today raised the risk to high.

The french President Macron hits the nail ln the head imo when he said.

"We are at war... we're fighting neither another army nor our own nation. But the enemy is here, invisible, untouchable... and is advancing,"
You just carry on burying your head in the sand, keep thinking it's all OK so long as you keep yourself clean and don't cough on anyone and it will be all hunky dorey.

That clown hasn't got a clue. I don't want to get info from the politicians. I'll listen to the scientists and biologists. Politicians are just out to points score no matter who they are and in whatever country, all the same.
