TTT, in the case of ‘normal’ Influenza, an infected person will statistically transmit to another 1.3 people. Covid19 carriers will on average pass on to 3 people. And then those 3 people on to another three each, and so on and so on etc. The rate of transmission is exponential and frightening. It is also unusual in that the incubation period in patients is unusually high, being 7-14 days during which the patient is asymptomatic, yet highly infectious - all without the individual realising it. It’s survival period outwith the human body is seriously scary, being around 2-3 days remaining active and transmissible on hard surfaces. And as an animal virus that has mutated to transmit to human hosts, nobody has experienced this to build up any immunity in the population whatsoever. But, yeh, the likes of The Dolphin etc, just you crack right on there.

The owners of the Dolphin should be FN ashamed of themselves, they posted on Facebook that they had received an E Mail from the Scottish Government saying Scotland was going into lockdown on Saturday and encouraged patrons to come to a final party before they had to shut.
This obviously spread like wild fire and led to supermarkets in Dundee getting stripped bare, they may well have got the E Mail but it was to inform them that pubs were getting shut down not the whole FN country. Can i just bring to everyone's attention that even if that does happen you will still be allowed to go shopping.
I must admit i am truly ashamed of some of my fellow Scots for their I'm all right Jack attitudes.I just hope if me or any of my loved ones are on a ventilator keeping us alive it will not be removed to be given to some younger person who partied on that Friday night,FACT.

Indeed, that video is pretty shocking. I grew up in Mill o' Mains, went to Linlathen High, so spent a lot of time in Fintry as a youngster and this is not an attitude I recognise. Sad as foock.

Whilst I agree on this the stupid behaviour, part of the issue has been lack of decisive govt action and poor communication. I do a bit of work on fire risk management and part of my training was looking at how people reacted (or didn’t) to fire alarms going off. We were shown several videos (some from actual fire footage) of how people ignored alarms going off unless given decisive communication (use of fire marshalls to herd people out etc). One of clearest examples was woolworths fire in 1977 where people died in the cafe because the didn’t want to leave unfinished meals. The Bradford FC fire also showed the crowd watching even as the fire came towards them.
Thats why this government’s dithering needs to be held to account.

I think these licence holders should get nicked, I really do - it would appear to be the only way to aid their decision making process.
Devils advocate here but they followed orders by closing that night. They've businesses to run with bills to pay at a very uncertain time for everyone.

I've also heard that Kingscross is the COVID-19 hub mate

I seen videos of tentsmuir yesterday, holy ****! again, out with the dogs yesterday i had a wee drive past riverside and there were hundreds of people out walking along riverside. Most Dundee parks and beaches have been quiet though to be fair.
