    Thanks for that Curian.

I have just been reading and article by two professors of infectious disease modelling at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine explaining why this virus is so much more lethal and difficult to control than previous strains of flu.

Maybe they should have just checked with Pboro as he clearly understands the science much better than them.

Saw on the news today that there’s been success in using a drug to treat corona sufferers. It has a ridiculously long name beginning with ‘f’ and is a Japanese drug already used there to treat normal flu.
This was on national news and so likely to be true.
If I heard right they said it had a positive effect on the 4th day of treatment onwards.

That's interesting and hopefully good news.
How long before Trump tries to buy the Japanese company?

President just announced we are in lockdown for the next 21 days. Deploying the national defence force tomorrow to impose it. Scary times. Stay safe everyone.

UK in full lockdown (pretty much) then.

I'm not sure what my work state will be.

We're caring for the children of key workers, so have to stay open i assume.

They are using schools as free creches it seems.

May as well be business as usual. Teachers are exposed repeatedly without ppe.

Aye - very clear that a lot see us as baby sitters.

Thankfully most that could send kids in have heeded advice and not, of the 100 we could have we only had 14 today.

Yeah, "travelling to and from essential work" includes us, I reckon.
